I’m Brad Read, the founder and lead consultant at Read Lawn & Turf. With a background deeply rooted in greenkeeping and a specialization in golf course maintenance, I bring years of hands-on experience to the table. My journey started in the meticulous preparation of cricket wickets and football fields, honing my skills and understanding of turf management.
I hold a certificate in horticultural services, majoring in sports turf, and I completed my New Zealand Sports Turf Apprenticeship. My dedication to excellence has been recognized by the Auckland Golf Course Superintendents Association (AGCSA), where I proudly received the Trainee of the Year award in both 2019 and 2020.
Beyond my professional achievements, I bring a unique perspective to turf management, thanks to my involvement in high-performance sports. As a member of the New Zealand men’s hockey team, I understand first hand what it takes to excel in a demanding environment and strive for peak performance.
